Good Food Box News
Just a quick note to let you know that Victoria Giannotta has been hired to replace Amanda LeClair as the Good Food Box Coordinator. Victoria will train with Amanda until the end of the month when Amanda leaves on maternity leave. To reach Victoria, please email her at goodfoodbox@spcsudbury.ca
If you are not familiar with the Good Food Box, the program functions as a wholesale buying club. Each month, patrons pre-pay $15 (and coming soon, the new $7 smaller box) for a box of fresh fruits and vegetables. The Good Food Box Co-ordinator uses these deposits to order a large amount of food from wholesalers. This food is delivered to Christ the King Church two weeks after your deposit is placed, where volunteers seperate the variety of fruits and vegetables into individual boxes.
For more information on the Good Food Box, please check out their new video http://vimeo.com/42152325
